The role will actively contribute to the School through student centred teaching practice and program development, contribute to the research profile of the School through their publications, and undertake relevant engagement and service activities. 
 

This is a 2.5 year fixed-term appointment, with flexibility for the successful candidate to nominate a part-time or full-time placement. The remuneration package is up to $136,397 per annum.

Associate Professor in Coastal Systems Engineering

The School of Environment, Science and Engineering is seeking to appoint an Associate Professor in Coastal Systems Engineering to lead innovative undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research in coastal and floodplain engineering as part of a growing, systems-focused engineering team. The appointee will provide academic leadership as Course Coordinator for the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Coastal Systems Engineering course and develop and lead research activities in coastal engineering.
 

Key aspects of this position also include industry and community engagement, supervision of Higher Degree by Research students and manage accreditation activities for the Coast Systems Engineering course.
 

This is a continuing appointment, with flexibility for the successful candidate to nominate a part-time or full-time placement. The remuneration package is up to $183,092 per annum.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Floodplain Management Engineer to join our team! The Floodplain + Stormwater team is recognised as an industry leader for flood risk and stormwater management. The team is specifically responsible for managing and coordinating a diverse range of projects across the local government area. We are about to complete the review of ten flood studies and are now progressing to the review of floodplain risk management studies and plans. The review will focus in adopting industry best practice to assess and prioritise floodplain risk management options and inform Council’s extensive Infrastructure Delivery Program.
